EPISODE 1

   The streets of London are deserted. The TARDIS lands in a park. The Doctor
and Sarah make their way to UNIT HQ. They do see one car on the streets and it
almost hits them. It stops in front of a jewelry store. They go inside to find
the driver of the car, who is looting. He points a gun at them and escapes.
They hear a crash and growling noises and run down the street. They find the
car half-crushed and the driver dead on the sidewalk.
   At UNIT HQ, the Brigadier and his men chart reports of looters and other
disturbances. On the streets, the Doctor and Sarah see a truck stop at a
warehouse. They enter the building and find two men. After a brief fight, the
men flee when they hear machine gun fire. A large reptilian bird flies into
the building and attacks the Doctor and Sarah. They jump in the truck and
crash through a locked door to escape.
   At UNIT HQ, the Brigadier talks with General Finch about the evacuation of
London. The truck arrives at a building and the Doctor and Sarah are taken in
as looters when stolen goods are found in the truck. They are questioned and
photographed. The Doctor learns from a looter that there are monsters. On the
streets, soldiers battle a tyrannosaurus rex. At UNIT HQ, communications are
being interferred with every time there is a disturbance. The Brigadier sees
the pictures of the Doctor and Sarah. He tries to contact where they are, but
cannot get through. Since he has a meeting, he sends some men after them.
   The accused looters are sentenced to imprisonment. They overpower the guard
and escape. The Doctor and Sarah are captured and are taken to the detention
center. On the way, a Tyrannosaurus Rex appears in the streets and stops the
truck as the episode ends.
